Prince George County to Hold Ribbon Cutting for
Primo’s Mexican Family Restaurant

 Prince George, VA – Prince George County will hold a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Primo’s Mexican Family Restaurant, located at 4130 Crossings Court Prince George, VA 23875. This event will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 3:30 p.m.

Primo’s Mexican Family Restaurant is owned by Rodrigo Benavidez, Alex Berganza, and their families. Rodrigo is co-owner of the El Caporal Mexican Restaurant in Colonial Heights, where he and Alex worked together for over 12 years. Rodrigo hails from Mexico, while Alex is from Honduras. Rodrigo’s wife Lisa moved to Fort Lee as a teenager, attended Hopewell High School, and taught at Dupont Elementary for six years.

Chair of the Prince George County Board of Supervisors, Marlene J. Waymack, stated, “We are excited to welcome Primo’s to Prince George County! With the success of their previous endeavors, we know that Primo’s will offer superior Mexican cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere.”

Primo’s Mexican Family Restaurant will offer many of the most popular dishes from El Caporal, and 20 new dishes to bring an authentic flavor to the restaurant. One of the new dishes is a PG Bowl, featuring grilled steak cooked with mushrooms and broccoli, served with rice, beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo.
