Utilities Department Billing Procedures
Billing Procedures:
Meters will be read bi-monthly. The bills are processed and mailed on the 20th of the billing month. Payments are to be received in the Treasurer's Office by the 15th of the month following billed date to avoid an 10% penalty. Failure to pay bill within 10 days following billed date of delinquent notice will result in service termination and a $50 reconnection fee will be due along with past due balances payable only in cash, money order, credit/debit card, or cashiers check before service is restored.
If you do not receive a utility bill by the end of your billing month, please call our office at 804-722-8706 so that we may give you your account balance to pay. Failure to receive your Utility Bill will not void charges due. If you have any suggestions that can improve our service to you please call our office or you may send it in writing to P.O. Box 68, Prince George, Virginia 23875. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
