Animal cruelty is a criminal offense.

It is the duty of each owner to provide for each pet or agricultural animal:

  • Adequate food and water
  • Adequate shelter outside dogs must be provided a dog house
  • Adequate space in the animal's enclosure for the type and size of the animal
  • Veterinary care when it is needed and to prevent suffering
  • Humane care and treatment
