Crater Workforce Development Consortium
Elects William A. Robertson, Jr. Chairman

 On March 13th, the Crater Workforce Development Board Chief Elected Officials Consortium elected Prince George County Chairman William A. Robertson, Jr. as Chairman of the regional workforce organization consisting of the cities of Colonial Heights, Emporia, Hopewell and Petersburg and the counties of Dinwiddie, Greensville, Prince George, Surry and Sussex.  The Crater Workforce Development Consortium is responsible for appointing local workforce development board members, submitting to the state the annual budget for the local board and one-stop operations, and authorizing the local strategic plan.

 “I am honored to be named Chairman of the Crater Workforce Development Consortium consisting of the chief local elected officials in the region,” Robertson said. “The role of local workforce development includes how to best provide comprehensive services to regional private sector employees.  With 51% of the local workforce board consisting of private sector businesses, our efforts will continue to focus on local economic growth.”
