Police Investigating Crash Involving Pedestrian

(Prince George, VA) – POLICE INVESTIGATING MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN

 

On June 11, 2024, at 5:20 A.M., the Prince George Police Department responded to Oaklawn Boulevard near Petersburg National Battlefield Park for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.  The initial investigation revealed that a 33-year-old male from the City of Hopewell, a pedestrian, was walking westbound on the roadway when he was struck by a 2019 Chevrolet 2500 pickup traveling westbound on Oaklawn Boulevard.  The pedestrian sustained significant injuries.  Prince George Fire/EMS personnel stabilized him on the scene before he was transported by Med-Flight to Chippenham Hospital for treatment.

 

The driver, a 43-year-old male North Carolina resident, who called 911 and remained on scene, did not sustain any injuries.
