Waverly, VA - Prince George Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors has appointed Sarat Yellepeddi as the co-op’s new president and chief executive officer. Yellepeddi’s promotion was effective April 30. Yellepeddi will succeed Casey Logan, who will transition to Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative as the Chief Operating Officer.

“His leadership overseeing IT, engineering, operations and member services, coupled with his extensive experience in project management, will be advantageous to lead PGEC as we continue prioritizing growth not only on the electric side but also in our fiber-to-the-home subsidiary,” said Paul Brown, Prince George Electric Cooperative chairman of the board.

Yellepeddi brings more than 20 years of expertise in strategic technology to his new role at PGEC. Yellepeddi began his career at PGEC in September 2019 as the vice president of IT and was promoted to chief operating officer and senior vice president of IT in June 2020. Before coming to PGEC, Yellepeddi held the role of chief technology officer at SEDC, which provides enterprise software for solutions in the utility industry. Yellepeddi played a crucial role in managing the multimillion-dollar client-server and was recognized for harnessing the latest technologies and project management methodologies. Before his role at SEDC, Yellepeddi spent seven years as a project manager at Allstate Insurance.
