Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Issues Public Notice for Input for the Gateway Inn

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued a public notice seeking public input on a permit for private sewer discharge at the Gateway Inn, located at Exit 41 off of I-95.

This is a reissuance of a permit. The facility proposes to continue the release of treated sewage into Jones Hole Swamp in Prince George County in the Chowan River and Dismal Swamp watershed. Public comments should be made within 30 days of this public notice.
