Adverse Weather Report 2/18/21 6:00 pm

Adverse Weather Update:

Date and Time:    2-18-21 @ 6:00pm

Overall Status:    The roads are wet and the bridges are not icy.  All areas report that there are no trees or roads blocked currently.  No power lines are down and currently we have no reported vehicle crashes.  Area 1 has reported there is high water on Templeton Road in the 1800 block and it is a traffic hazard and over the road, VDOT was notified to bring out signs.  Several low hanging limbs were removed in area 1 by fire / ems on Tatum Road and a tree was removed from Providence Road also and now they are both open.

Same concern as earlier is that roads may flood later since most of the swamps in the county are high already and are close to crossing over roadways in the usual spots.  In addition, that as the temperature drops tonight the rain may turn to ice.
