(Prince George, VA) – Arrest made in String of Larcenies from Virginia Lottery and other Gaming Machines.
On August 4, 2020, as a result of the efforts of the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Prince George County Police Department were able to arrest Tio M. Robinson, Demekos Anthony Barkley, and Ateilah Amatullah Janan Toon for stealing money from gaming machines at several businesses in Prince George County. Between the dates of July 19th and August 1st of this year, gaming machines were tampered with at three separate businesses resulting in over $5900.00 in cash stolen.
The investigation revealed that all three arrestees have been traveling throughout several southern states committing thefts from North Carolina to the Washington DC area. Tio M. Robinson, age 36, of Decatur, Georgia; Demekos Anthony Barkley, age 38, of Atlanta, Georgia; and Ateilah Amatullah Janan Toon, age 27, of Charlotte, North Carolina were transported to Sussex County Jail. All three individuals have been charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor offenses resulting from the tampering and stealing of monies from gaming machines.
