Prince George County Terminates Boil Water Advisory

Notice to Customers of Prince George County Central System Waterworks

Drinking Water Advisory Terminated

On December 1, 2019, Customers of the Prince George County Water System were advised to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution.  This precaution was necessary due to a recent water main repair. During the repair, areas of the water system experienced low pressure zones, which could make the system susceptible to contamination.

The notice applied to the following areas:

Clements Junior High School, Prince George High School, Beazley Elementary School, Walton Elementary School, Puddledock Road, Temple Avenue, Jefferson Point Apartments, Middle Road

The Meadows Subdivision, Prince George Dr, Birchett Estates, Brickhouse Landing, Branchester Lakes, Lee Acres, Manchester Mills, Rolling Meadows, Commons Drive, Laurel Spring Rd., Courthouse Drive, Courts Dr. (Courthouse area), Tinsley Charter, Baxter Ridge, Commonwealth Acres, Route 460, South Point Business Park.

We are pleased to report that the test results from the lab indicated no contaminants are present in the water and it is safe to drink. It is no longer necessary for customers to take the recommended precautionary measures.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
