Zoom Meeting Information
Prince George County Board of Supervisors will hold Work Sessions and Public Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month in 2022, with the exception of June, July, August, and December (only the 2nd Tuesday). These meetings, and any Special Called Meeting or Budget Work Session, can be viewed using the following:

In accordance with Governor Ralph Northam’s Declaration of a State of Emergency, Prince George County is now holding all public hearings and meetings with the use of virtual formats - Zoom meetings and YouTube live. Members of the public wishing to join any public meeting may do so by utilizing a link or phone number and the appropriate Zoom meeting ID. This information will be specified on the County’s website.
Members of the public joining Zoom meetings will be provided an opportunity to make comments in real time. Comments will be administered by a moderator to ensure everyone has an opportunity to comment within the allowable time limits. You have four (4) minutes to speak. You will not be able to speak until notified by the moderator. Please raise your electronic hand on Zoom to speak.
What is Zoom?
Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool with a local, desktop client and a mobile app that allows users to meet online, with or without video. It allows you to virtually interact when in-person meetings are not possible.
What is a Zoom Meeting?
A Zoom Meeting refers to a video conferencing meeting that is hosted using Zoom. You can join these meetings via a webcam or phone.
Do I need to purchase anything to attend a Zoom meeting?
No, it is free to attend a Zoom meeting.
Do I need an account to use Zoom?
A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining Zoom Meetings as a participant. Simply click on the invite link provided for the meeting and you will join as a participant (without creating an account). A password included by the host is required.
Can I still watch the meeting if I missed it?
Yes. All meetings will be streamed live and archived through our county Swagit channel which will be available October 12, 2021 at https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/live_stream/index.php. Please be aware that the Swagit video has about a 45 second delay during live broadcasts. You can watch previously recorded meetings prior to October 12, 2021 on the Prince George County, VA YouTube Channel through https://www.youtube.com/c/princegeorgevirginia.
How do I join a Zoom meeting?
You can join a meeting by clicking the meeting link or going to https://zoom.us/join and entering in the meeting ID and password.
How do I join computer/device audio?
On most devices, you can join computer/device audio by clicking Join Audio, Join with Computer Audio, or Audio to access the audio settings. You can also call in by phone using the numbers provided.
How can I participate in a meeting if I don't have computer audio?
Each meeting provides multiple phone numbers. You can participate by dialing into the meeting and entering the meeting ID and password when prompted. If you have trouble accessing the meeting with the first number on the list, please try another number from the list. Use *6 to toggle between mute and unmute. The host will have all lines muted for the meeting.
How do I raise my hand electronically to speak during public comment?
Join the meeting. Click on “Participants”. Click “Raise Hand” at the bottom right of the Participants section. You will be promoted to the top of the list. Use *9 to raise your hand from phone only mode.
How can I participate in public comment without Zoom?
You may show up to the meeting in person. You may also submit public comments via the website by 5:00 p.m. prior to the meeting.
